Week 12 | Make a Connection

This week, your challenge is to step out of your comfort zone and make connections. If you’ve never left a comment on a blog before, do it. If you are inspired by someone’s work, send them an email. If you haven’t heard from a friend in a while, call them. That person you know who is struggling … take them a cup of coffee. Join The Abundant Mama village. Talk to a stranger. Reach out to someone in need.

I joined the Spring Abundant Mama Project. This will be my second time.  It dawned on me the first group I joined, that it is often easier to talk to complete strangers, from all around the world, about parenting.  Not because I'm worried my friends and family will judge me, but perhaps because I have less judgement of myself when I share with strangers: Cyber friendships made out of wanting to be more mindful parents, more abundant within.

That was an easy decision for me.

I reached out to a (popular) blogger who honestly blogged about her bad day and I (hesitantly) shared my blog post about my bad day, and she commented on my Blog!!!

But it is harder for me to talk to strangers, to make new friends.

And I could do better at reconnecting with old friends.

So while this week is done, and while I'm using the above as my answer, I'm not finished with the sentiment behind this week's prompt.
